Installing WordPress on HostGator – It’s Quick and Free

Installing a WordPress blog on your HostGator web hosting account is extremely easy, and best of all it’s free. WordPress is an amazingly flexible blogging platform with lots of great themes and plugins.

The easiest way to install WordPress is through the HostGator control panel. After logging in to your domain cPanel, scroll down and click on the icon labeled “Fantastico De Luxe”. In the right sidebar you’ll see a list of software programs that can be instantly installed with a few mouse clicks through Fantastico. Find “WordPress” and click the link.

Next, simply choose “New Installation” and enter in the information requested (username, blog title and description, password, email address, etc.). In just a few seconds, WordPress will automatically be installed onto your HostGator hosting account without having to upload a single file!
